Board and Proc on 80W ??

I recently got three micro atx cases for 6 bucks each. the thing is they are only wide enough to fit a mobo about 9.1 inches accross and have 80W psus in them. Am i going to be stuck with a via mini - itx board or can i go faster. I found this board that would fit but would 80W be enough ?? http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=13-185-037&depa=1

Put a 35W mobile CPU in it, and maybe it would be enough...a hard drive might be too much though.

I like the suggestion of the low power athlon chip. I looked into getting a different power supply for it but its a wierd form factor. i'll post some pics later to see if anybody has some ideas on replacements.

On your first point of interest, measure that and make sure it's not a Flex-ATX case. Looks awful cramped in there, and IIRC mATX spec is 9.5" not 9.1".

Secondly, you're going to have to either scrape a new PSU somehow (look for SFX form factor or "BookPC" type) or make some serious compromises. That doesn't have the needed power rails - let alone the ATX12V plug - to provide for a SocketA solution. You could try, but there's no guarantee.

I'd go for a Socket370 based - preferably capable of Tualatin processors. I've run the following off a 75W supply to give you scale:

2x256MB
3.5" HDD
DVD/CDRW combo

That looks like a MATX case (it has two screws on the bottom, not just one)
