BNC vs VGA

BNC? You mean a single cable or 15 separate wires? I'd just use VGA for simplicity's sake.

BTW, BNC is just the name for the connector, but I'm assuming you mean a coaxial cable.

I know they have vga to bnc converters, but don't they have also have graphics cards with bnc? I mean the vga to bnc cables are kind of useless right because the signals still have to go through the vga connector

BNC uses the same plug as Analog D-Sub so you can just hook it up to any graphics card with an Analog output. I think the only reason why you would ever want to use BNC(British Naval Connector) over Analog D-Sub (That's the alternative cable you were reffering to as VGA) if you need to go for longer distances, I believe around 15 feet+. BNC is subject to less signal noise than D-Sub, so it may give a slightly better picture than D-Sub.

the monitors and video cards can have the bnc connectors. you can buy a cable with the same or mixed ends also. i was going to buy one cause my monitor has both vga and bnc connectors but heard it wasnt any different.

i do have my gamecube with a modified component cable running into the bnc's. it lets me run the games in progressive mode.
