I had that problem with CCC on 4.11s however without the CCC it`s fine(using 5.1s in BNC mode),check your monitor tab is set higher then 60Hz,also install your monitor drivers, btw you can set the rerfesh for 3D as well ,go to ATI display tab and click on the monitor button icon ,in there you see "refresh rate over ride" box for 3D gaming.

Did you reboot?..I always reboot after, the way I do it is install ATI drivers using express installation, reboot then install monitor drivers at desktop and reboot again then setup the refresh rate etc.....

You might consider trying Driver cleaner in safe mode as well, link. ,instructions are included in the readme file but basically you uninstall your ATI drivers, boot into safe mode run Driver Cleaner and select "ATI" for cleaning, when it`s finished ,boot back to normal desktop and install latest ATI drivers without the new CCC .

ATI driver

link for 5.1s.

Also in the monitor tab make sure "hide modes that this monitor can`t display" IS NOT TICKED.

?...There`ll be a monitor pic like in this link (bottom pic) just click where it says "monitor" where you see 4 monitor pics in the screenshot,so first one, this`ll bring up a new section ,so in there`ll you see 4 tabs, first is attribrutes tab,I set max refresh rate to 100Hz on mine and refresh over ride at 85Hz for gaming.

You do have the ATI control panel installed?,I don`t mean the new CCC.

Did you check montior tab,"hide modes that this monitor can`t display" is not ticked, then select something higher the 60Hz.

Running out of ideas, but try installing your monitor driver again, reason I wanted you to try a normal VGA cable is to see if that works above 60Hz,trying to see if it`s a BNC specific or general problem with your monitor.

Tried RefreshLock (note this is not RefreshForce),you have to download RL from top left of the webpage.

Do you have more then one monitor linked to your ATI card?

I presume you are using XP?...I would try the full Driver Cleaner cleanup in safe mode, that`s run cab cleaner which is in tools menu then run Driver Cleaner last for "ATi",btw make sure you use the ATI uninstall utility in control panel(add/uninstall icon) to remove the ATI drivers first before going into safe mode, also make sure CCC is removed as well if you have that installed.

Tried both ports on your ATI card?..use the DVI-VGA adaptor for the DVI port.
