Hi i just got a belkin BNC cable from buy.com and installed it on my Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2040U with a TNT2 Ultra. It does look better on resolution 1280X1024 and above. However, when i tried to raise the refresh rate it does look screw up on the left side of the monitor. so now i am limited at 1280X1024@85Hz, which hurts my eye pretty bad since i used to have a refresh rate of 143hz.Is it normal to a BNC cable or it's just the limit of my TNT2 Ultra? (by the way i am only talking in terms of 2d image)
Someone please help me.

The TNT2 Ultra can go way over 85Hz at that rez, so I'd guess its the BNC stuff or drivers.

My 15 inch monitor only does 70Hz @ 1280x960, I consider you lucky :)

Hey ybing,

Sorry can't help you with your quesition, but maybe you can help me with mine. What do you think of that monitor of yours? I just about bought one the other day if it wasn't for the sales people not wanting to take my oversease Amex card.

However, all being well I am going to purcahase one in the next few weeks, so can you tell me what you really think of it, and if it's a wise choice?

I noticed with that monitor that any resolution above 1024x768 makes the left part of the screen look very blurry. That might just be me, but it hurt my eyes a lot - have you noticed that?

yeah i had that problem as well but that's due to my creative dxr3 decoder card.. if you are not connected to a dvd decoder card then lower your refresh rate to 85hz the problem should go away. hope this helps

Nah, I don't have a decoder card. Just a Matrox G400 Max and a high quality BNC cable. I haven't had the 2040u for a long time now (I returned it right away after I tried two monitors with the SAME problem)
