I already didn't like how busy the designs were getting (fake brake vents on the 4 series) and that ugly hockey stick thing (that is also present in the 5/7 series). This is over the top on all accounts...and that kidney grill...a face only a mother could love.

Here is to hoping they do a significant change for production. The X5 is a pretty good looking CUV...this thing is a monstrosity.

Yeah, I like the lights...well if they were on a low profile sports car. Not a fan of these thin headlights on vertically bulky vehicles (a la Jeep Cherokee).

Agreed. The new XC90 (and XC60) are way better looking. I also think the current gen Q7 is way better looking as well. I really hope BMW tones this down before production. I'm sure it will sell because it is a 7 seat BMW...but that is what makes it even more unfortunate because BMW won't be getting the feedback they should be getting (that this design is truly ugly).
