Nope. Volvo has adopted an Audi style pricing scheme.

And a BMW style service scheme.

Nuts. You could get a really sweet car for that... Might not look as cool though...

but if you are considering a FX or X3
and for considering a murano

for a luxury SUV imo the RX330 is just perfect (lots or room , very luxurious, not built for heavy towing, not overpriced)

edit: hmm gonna be tough to keep it under 38K though unless that is 38K +TTL?

have you considered a 4runner?

Let me suggest a Toyota 4Runner. Rode it in and it is great. I've also ridden in a Lexus RX300 - a bit on the pricey side though.

Incorrect. Volvo Xc90 2.5, is available for under 38k. approx 33-35k or so. There is currently no wait on the 2.5 or t6 models. However, even the most basic of options will push it over 38k. Hence the orignal suggestion of a non-luxury line.

The 3.0i starts at $42k - I priced it out using "build your own" and after a few basic options (auto tranny, moonroof, sportier rims), it came to $50k. (I can't imagine what the 4.8is, starting at $70k) would come out to...

Mind if I ask what your 3.0i final price was ? I was thinking it'd be my next car as well... I'm driving a 10-year old car right now...
