BMW M3 vs Lexus IS-F vs 380RS vs S2000 Type S

Saw this yesterday, that Nismo is really quick. That M3 looked really fun on that track but also seemed like a handful. Hid it's weight nicely but still too big..

Cliffs on the vid?

Finishing order: M3>Nismo 350z>IS-F>S2000

The M3 got off to a slow start but once past the IS-F, it reeled in the 350z with ease. The S2000 just got murdered, it held its own on a few of the corner entries (especially the hairpin before the main straight, it literally made up about 4-5 CL on the M3 and ISF), but its obvious that it was out powered.

The 350z did very well IMO, looked very composed.

The M3 was also rated the highest in the drift compartment and had excellent grip according to the percentage ratings.

IIRC, the JDM 350s are a little more powerful than what we get?

From looking at the video it looks like the JDM spec might have 7 more hp. I don't think that would make or break the car.

Ah, actually I found the car I was looking for :

The Nismo 380RS, 350HP w/Brembos and larger wheels. It's what the current Z shoulda been all along.

Yeah, you're right, 7 hp won't make or break it. But ~50 sure will. At 3100+lbs, 300hp does not a sports car make.

should have thrown in an R8 in there for giggles.

or a GT-R/Z06/Carrera/etc.

Yeppers. If anything, all this proved was that the IS-F is a bit off the pace, and that the M3 can beat up on some cheaper cars.
