Not a bad price but still out of my price range. I'm looking at $65k w/ tax and title for a coupe with just leather option only. Once I start adding options, it's $70k+ easily. I'm sure it will sell like hotcakes with market adjustment for the first year at least.

Much lower than I anticipated. Can you say IS-Fail?[B/]

i thought that was established by the CTS-V. although the M3 is definitely the nail in the coffin :p

Well I said that because Toyota recently revealed the base price for the IS-F and it is significantly higher than the M3. Granted it probably comes with a ton more equipment, but it's still more... The CTS-V just has a bang for the buck these cars will never attain, it is the better package and has a huge power advantage.

CTS-V is impressive, props to GM for really meeting the challenge and succeeding. But it's also good to see an excellent, and fairly priced (for what it is, an Epic German masterpiece) M3. You really can't go wrong with either, provided you have the $$ and inclination for such a creature.

The Top Gear shootout between the M3, RS4 and C63 AMG was awesome. I was actually kinda surprised the M3 came out on top after a lot of the early press critics.

I was surprised the M3 spanked the RS4 that badly around the circuit. A couple of other magazine tests compared them at the circuit and the M3 was only slightly faster.

The only really good Audi's are the ones with the '8' in the name ;) The rest are glorified VW's, sorry.

the RS6 is a beast. i'm an A8L fanboi (suck it, 7series :D). and of course, the R8 is twice as godly now that it has TDI power :D:D

R8 and A8 are indeed awesomeness. I do wish they were a bit more daring with the A8 series styling, but it is classical and elegant. Since BMW doesn't offer an M version of the 7, Audi gets the prize in that area. Man, imagine an M7, something like a 600HP modular V12 version of the current M3/M5 V8 and V10. That'd be sweet.

Of course, now that the GT-R is out, if I were rich enough to afford an R8, 911T, or the like, I'd probably just have to go with the GT-R. Or perhaps just a custom C6 with loads of mods.

*dreaming* anyway, I'll just drive this E39 M5 until it's toast.
