BMW Guy admits to running motorcycle off the road..

that's the most fvcked up thing i've ever heard.. i guess it just reinforces that socal bmw owners are d!ckheads

A lot of people don't understand that a lot of bikes can't just sit in a traffic jam because the only way to cool the engine is to get air forced through it by moving. They aren't like cars that have fans to pull air through. So a lot of bikers have to keep going or it will damage their bikes.

Eh, i'll go with most sportsbike riders are idiots. I see some guy ride wheelies down the road here...its a 35MPH zone...he must be going well over 100. I hope he dies so he dosnt end up hurting anyone else.

While I can see both sides of the story ....

I think it's just plain stupid what the guy in the BMW did (or others like him). There are stupid people in every group but that doesn't give any one person the right to play God. There have been MANY times i've wanted to do the same thing but I used my common sense and just called the cops with the license number and description. Sure, most bikers won't be caught, but then again, I won't end up in jail for killing someone just because I thought I was the judge, jury, and executioner.

If traffic is slow, I don't care. But when I do care is when they do that crap when it's fast enough that I can change lanes and they are hard enough to see as it is and that is a bad combination.

His bike is water cooled with an electric fan on the radiator. Almost all Japanese bikes are made this way now, even the majority of the Harley clones they make.

It's about the only CA law that makes sense.

As someone currently recovering from a bike related injury (titanium plate and 7 screws in my wrist) after some jerkwad "didn't see me" (LIAR!) I hope this lady gets a severe sentence.
I ride a Honda Shadow 1100. A big cruiser. How the hell can you not see that thing?
 
Wow. Just Wow. I ride my Harley every day to and from work, rain or shine. I've seen some scary sh!t happen which usually involves a car turning left in front of a bike because they didn't see them or someone coming over on me on a 4 lane road , but I've never even heard of a cager diliberately running a Biker off the road. :| Just when did human life become so valueless. I see the guys on the guys on the Jap bike doing stupid sh!t all the time like they've got something to prove and when they bite it I've got no sympathy for them, but jeez, for someone to come up and ram a guy on his bike or run them off the road just to "teach a lesson" is BS and these people need to be charged with attempted murder, no less! The truth is you dont' need to teach stupid riders a lesson. There's a patch of loose stuff right around the next curve to take care of that.

It doesn't matter dude. It's just a fact of riding. I have a Dyna Wide Glide and I'm completely invisible. Someone tries to remind me of this at lease once a week. You've just got to be extremely defensive and always positoin yourself where there is space around you and an escape route when possible. Oh yeah, get some loud pipes too. At least if they can't see you they might hear you.
 
I can't STAND when bikers weave in and out of traffic, yet everyone says 'oh watch out for motorcycles' like being on a motorcycle excuses you from ever being at fault. Seriously, 90% of the people I"ve seen on them drive like fvcking morons. Get a car or get off the road if you can't drive like a normal person on a bike.
 
people who try to block others with their cars are dumbasses and deserve to get into a big accident to learn a lesson. i wouldn't with death on somone, but totaling their car, having their insurance go through the roof, and possible criminal charges are good 😉

I can't stand them either, the give the rest of us a bad name. I also can't stand dumb @ss drivers who don't even make an effort to look. Splitting lanes is risky but I'll do if my bike starts overheating. It's air-cooled and I'm not going to damage the engine just because it might p!ss off some weiner in a BMW. Actually I don't even split lanes, I just use the executive lane instead.😉
 
I have no problem with motorcyclists. They're probably the one group of people on the road that don't annoy the living sh|t out of me. The drive fast as hell so they never slow me down, and their vehicle is to small to do any real injury to me if they fvck up.
