It's sad when the X3 has more cargo space than the larger X5 :)

How is that possible? Isn't the X5 based on the 5-series? Maybe X5 has more passenger room though, so that makes sense then.

I've seen it mentioned many times. Here's the first article I did by doing a quick search:

http://www.mensjournal.com/agenda/0304/cars_designstudy.html
What will stay: The central iDrive controller, rapid-deployment rear cargo tray, voluminous cargo space (it has more than the X5 does), all-wheel drive, and interior swoopiness.

I'm not doubting you, I just wnat to know how hte X5 is so freaking small then? It looks massive from the outside.

Uh, how is that an SUV? It's a damn station wagon. Just because the back window comes up when you open the trunk does not make it an SUV.

The X5 is tiny! If you see one just take a look inside. I don't know about your neighborhood but there are tons around here. I think you'd be lucky to find 2' of horizontal space behind the rear seats. You could place maybe 3 grocery bags back there. I would rather get an Audi All-Road or 5 series wagon than an X5.

Take a peek in the back. There is like ZERO cargo room back there. Seriously, there's barely enough room for one person to sit behind the rear seat (don't ask...)
