BMW Driver Blocks Hydrant.....7 Alarm Fire Breaks Out

lol that is hilarious. I'd do the same thing if I was a fireman and some asshole's car was in the way. Probably have to since you don't really can't really have a short bend radius on those hoses when under pressure. There's a reason they have the 3 metre rule. The firemen need room to get to the hydrant. The plows/public works also needs to be able to easily go remove the snow on a daily basis.

I'll admit that I was thinking along the lines of the others who basically said it seems like they just did that for spite. And I think the kind of people that say 'who cares if they did it just for spite, he deserved it' are idiots. Yeah, and a lot of people deserve to get punched in the face, but that doesn't legalize assault...ends...means...and all that.

BUT...upon consideration, I think the whole 'hose through the window' thing probably is the best method...quickest and safest for the firefighters. The main thing that sways me that way, which I don't see mentioned, is the safety of having to put a bend in the hose WITH the car containing the hose at said bend, versus without. You made them bend it, therefore your car can contain any funny business that the hose does because it's not coming straight off the hydrant. Otherwise, who knows what direction the hose is gonna fling itself when they turn on the water. That explanation works for me.

Shouldn't you be polishing handbags?

?

😕

...the article says they couldn't bend a 4" line, but that's exactly what they did trying to get it though the car. It would have been 10 times less bent if they used the side port and went around the car.

Looks a lot more like they were trying to ruin the guys day than fix the problem in the most expeditious and reliable manner.

But then they would have had to try and bend around the end of the car, same result, you would wind up restricting the flow. Maybe the asshole could just obey the law and not block hydrants..

OH WOW NO FUCKING WAY!

YOU THINK!

Jesus theres a shitload of selfish, self-centered, self-righteous cocksuckers in this thread.

MY CAR WINDOWS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN HUMAN LIVES!
FUCK YOU ASSHOLE! EAT SHIT AND PUKE ON YOUR PRECIOUS LEATHER SEATS!

ok but it was still a dick move by the fireman

not at all. it was a dick move to park in front of a fire hydrant.

end of story.

you take your lumps if you are the primary dick.

that is how life works.

now, go spend all your money on another shitty bag for your [fake] girlfriend, dumbass.

I bet the BMW owner parked there temporarily and never expected a fire to happen. But yes the BMW owner did do a dick move by parking there. But 2 dick moves don't make it right.

there was only one dick move.

I don't understand how you don't get that.

...oh, it's because you are a colossal dick yourself.

They break the windows because they "can", but they could route the hose under the car using less hose to get from A-B.

Personally, I saw the title and hoped it would be a firetruck plowing into a BMW to move it from the hydrant to use it.

I would have cheered harder.

How would they make it less bent by going around the car? Did you get your physics degree at Looney Tunes University?

I love how some asshole with a room-temp IQ shouts that I am a troll in a Harcadio thread, yet we have 2-3 actual trolls that are fairly active.

And they aren't even good trolls...blatant as it gets.

Holy crap I read through the pages and I wanna smack drinkmorejava with my penis.

Hey knucklehead, try to bend your penis 90 degrees, if you can get it hard. Now imagine a fucking hose that's a million time harder with a lot more pressure pushing through it.

well the tightest bend on this is from the hydrant, into the door panel. after that if it goes in the window or over the car, it doesn't matter, angle there would be the same pretty much.

fairly certain they picked through windows for spite.
