Blurry text with in Steam with a 4870

Got my 4870 not too long ago, running on the latest drivers. When I load up a game through Steam, the game itself is okay, but when I Shift+Tab to steam, everything is all blurry and hard to read. Team Fortress 2 is the only game where even the game itself has hard to read text (makes server browsing rather difficult), but all games have the blurry text when I go to Steam community while in game. What could be the problem here?

This isn't a Video hardware problem, so I'm punting this to PC Gaming

i dont have any problem with any source game with my sig pc. Make sure that youre running at your monitors native resolution. If you already are then try the verify client files option.

Resolution is 1920x1080 (42" monitor). The first time I ran TF2 everything was just fine. But after the 2nd time I've been having the text problem. I did try verifying the game files, that didn't fix it.

If I delete TF2 and redownload it, I won't lose all my achievements right?

no your achievements are linked to the account so you wont lose them

try deleting the clientregistry.blob file from your steam folder. It tends to solve many steam related problems.
