Blurry Monitor, what to do?

I have an Iiyama Vision Master Pro 512 which has a great picture at lower resolutions, but one that is not so great as I turn up the refresh rate. The video cards I tested were my VisionTek Geforce3 TDH and Matrox G450. The Matrox did seem a bit better but it was still extremely blurry at high resolutions and refresh rates, for example 1600x1200x100Hz. I think the standard monitor cable is to blame, and want to replace it. The monitor doesn't have BNC inputs, so I am looking for the highest quality HD15 replacement cable I can find. I was looking at this one, but it is pretty expensive so I am hesitant. Any suggestions or advice?
 
Well, I would say your pushing it to hard. I don't think the monitor cable is to blame. You can open up the monitor, and fiddle inside with some sharpness knobs, but that is dangerous, albeit easy. But I don't think its for you, because its only at higher res's. Often blury is a sign of pushing it too hard. Try 85hz. What does the Monitor manual say is the Max? Complain to the manafacturer?
 
Well, max is 1600x1200x114Hz (if i remember correctly), so I think 1600x1200x100Hz should be doable. (monitor has a 140khz maximum horizontal frequency.)
 
Can you truthfully say you can tell the difference between 1600x1200x85Hz and 1600x1200x100Hz? I'm just asking because most people try to run at a higher refresh rate then their eyes can see the difference. Thus you might be quite happy at 1600x1200x85Hz without having to spend a dime.
