Hi everyone!

I have an old monitor (5 years or so) that i'm currently using, but it displays most things blurry, what i have noticed is that when the background is white it gets more blurry than when it has a dark background, also, when i lower the brightness of the monitor, everything is displayed focused, but, im talking about a 30-40% of brightness thats not good :S

i took this monitor to a electronics technician, he said that it was working, but he had no chance to prove that in front of me.

can i still rescue this monitor?? i dont wanna throw it away hihi im too cheap :p but i'd like to have it fully focused or at least to a point where i can read small text.

also, movies and games display perfectly, no blurry happens then.

its a Samsung SyncMaster 550v, im using 1024x768, 32 bits, with a radeon x600xt (i have tried with other computers and different resolutions, its no use, it continues to displays blurryness)

my viewsonic 17" crt is doing the same thing. It's about 5 years old too. It's readable at 1024x768, but 1280x1024 is way blurry. Red text in games and such is especially bad. Gives me a headache actually.
