Blurry Monitor Echoes

My monitor has started displaying echoes of anything dark colored on the screen. I would normally fault hardware, but I had been dicking with brightness settings in the Nvidia control panels and on the monitor itself earlier... can anyone think of anything I could have touched that could have caused this? It's a Sceptre 19", if it matters.

Cable looks secure, won't be able to try new monitor or new computer for a day or two. Basicly fishing due to the synchronicity of my futzing and the monitor's borking.

Your nvidia setting should have default setting you can revert to, or you could try reinstalling. The settings on the monitor my be a different problem, I would set the nvidia back to default and then try adjusting monitor.
