Recently my 6 year old CRT started to show bluish screen at frequent times,it shows different shades of blue and then reverts to norml,is this a sign of a dying CRT ?

Sounds like the red electron gun may be failing or has a bad connection from your computer. Try unplugging/replugging the VGA cable from your video card. Also, if the cable can be disconnected from the monitor, do the same to it as well.
