Last spring a company called Silicon Wave demonstrated a mini-PCI Bluetooth/WiFi card.

Has it ever hit the market?

Does anyone know of anybody that makes Bluetooth mini-PCI cards?

Argh, why miniPCI? That's where WLAN goes. Just get a USB dongle for BT if you need it.

Edit - just realized that he stated Bluetooth/WiFi card.

that would be interesting since I don't think SiWave make any WiFi chips...

my point still stands. if it's not in your laptop and you need BT, just get a dongle. They are like $25 bucks now.

Bluetooth is nice because you can use wireless peripherals without all the messy cords. You dont need it if you'll be connecting mice/keyboards via USB.

And don't forget... you can use have your laptop use your bluetooth-enabled phone as a wireless modem to get on the internet. It's a godsend for me :D

yea bluetooth is freaking great if your mobile supports it...

I own nothing but Sony Ericssons, and their higher end models have bluetooth. I own a T68i and a T610. With my T610 I can browse the phones files from my PC, and if I took some pics I can copy them off the phone onto the PC wirelessly, then upload them to the net

get a decent USB adapter.
