Bluetooth help

Hi guys,
Need a little advice on how to wirelessly connect my laptop and PC. Basically all I want to be able to do is transfer files between the two, and be able to access the internet wirelessly from my laptop (my PC has a USB cable modem). I want to do this as cheaply as possible, and have found bluetooth USB dongles to be about the cheapest.

So, my question is: can I use USB bluetooth dongles to connect my laptop to my PC so I can use my PCs internet connection on my laptop.
Thanks,
Pete

You can, however, the internet speed will be hampered on the laptop. I would use two 802.11b cards and get the full speed out of my internet connection as well as file transfer speed.

A bluetooth connection is very slow in comparison to 802.11b (1/11th) or thereabouts. If your cable connection is 1.5mbits you will only get roughly half of your potential out of the bluetooth setup.
