Bluetooth Headset - Using two bluetooth profiles simultaneously?

Ok, so I needed a new headset and decided that I shouldn't have to suffer wires in these modern times. So I bought a BlueAnt x5i bluetooth headset. The problem is, I bought an x5i and not an x5, because I wasn't paying enough attention, so I didn't get the little audio streamer accessory.

Anyway, what happens is that I can pair the headset with my PC, but it acts as 2 different devices. It can be either a stereo headset, in which case the sound is great, but the mic doesn't work, or it can be a hands-free device, in which case the mic works great, but the sound is crappy mono. Can I not have the best of both worlds? I did, at one point, get both of the "devices" to connect and I set the headset as the default audio device and the hands-free as the default recording device, but the audio was incredibly choppy. Is there a way, through external software, new bluetooth drivers, or even multiple bluetooth dongles, that I can get what I want out of this headset?

Thanks for any advice!
