I have a 08 Camry hybrid which has the basic audio system. I want to get Bluetooth for hands free calling, can I replace my current system with OEM 4 inch system that has blue tooth, will it fit?

I put a regular DIN receiver in my Maxima. All I needed was an adapter to fit the dash which they do make for most cars with double DIN receivers.

It came with bluetooth features built in and they worked pretty well. The OEM system in my 2012 Camry is much better though as it has voice command and steering wheel controls.

I don't think I'll ever buy another car without bluetooth and voice command.

I really don't recommend that route. Instead, go with an AUX solution or a tape deck adapter + this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JK0G8KC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

You can hide the wires pretty well if you know your way around removing trim pieces in a car. I've found going this route is the safest, most reliable solution for Bluetooth phone call feature + Apt-X compatible A2DP audio streaming from your smartphone. If your phone supports voice command, then so does this device as it uses your phone's voice command. Aftermarket android based car solutions are unreliable, expensive and are prone to bugs, hardware failure and lack of updates. If you go this route, the system is as advanced as your phone/tablet.

It's cheap and reliable.

The problem with the above is that if I am listening to radio and someone calls I will to switch to aux to hear the call, don't I? Moreover I am not looking for aftermarket radios, those are prone to theft, I am looking for OEM

Nobody steals radios anymore unless you live in the hood. That would be the least of my concerns.

This should be all you need http://www.crutchfield.com/p_003TYK983S/American-International-TOYK983S-Dash-Kit-Silver.html?tp=3121

But go through the vehicle specific auto select, the one you need it different depending if you have the nav/JBL system already. If you have steering wheel audio controls you'll need a wiring adapter to maintain the functionality in an aftermarket head unit, but they're not that expensive and Crutchfield has them as well

And yeah, noone is going to steal the radio out of an 08 Camry hybrid

If you go the "oem" route, you won't have A2DP audio streaming. Let me put it this way, in my ES350 which has the exact system you're talking about... I use the Kinivo instead of the car's bluetooth system because I'd rather be paired to something that supports voice command, audio playback, etc. etc. The voice command that is integrated into the car's system is pure garbage and doesn't interact through the phone's bluetooth.

If you want to command your phone to give you directions to places, to call people, or do other tasks, you won't be able to do it with the car's bluetooth setup. Voice command is crappy and is intended for THEIR infotainment system.

This is what I use in an 08 Prius:

Works great and is dirt cheap. The drawback is exactly as you point out-you must leave your radio set aux. I "solved" this by putting a boatload of tunes on my phone and setting the phone's music player to random shuffle. Frankly I haven't found a program for my Windows phone that actually does a random shuffle-they all seem to focus on the same 200-300 "hits."

The only alternative I'm aware of is an aftermarket radio. Theft issues aside, that's a reasonably hefty expense in an eight year old car.

I had a Garmin with built in blue tooth but it didn't work as well at the device I linked above.

Only two ways to really integrate it.
1) wire in bluetooth like the parrot kits. Wife had one and while it worked, it was great, but it was flaky.

2) Replace the OEM HU like you're thinking. Depending on how much is run through the OEM HU this can be a bad idea. (some cars use it for climate control and the like). Its also by far the best way to do it if you can get everything working. I just did this on my wife's CRV. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Y8DBF5Y?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00

The other thing I've seen is little stand alone units that clip on your sun visor and run off battery. I'm heard the work well enough, just won't mute your stereo.
