I have some hearing loss. I just bought a new TV with bluetooth capability so I could get bluetooth earbuds that would allow me to hear the TV without blasting everyone else out of the house. My question is how to select a good earbud?

I want it primarily for TV using now, but I will want to use it with my Surface Book soon and later with my iPad & iPhone.

I found this one on Amazon for $37:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079DPFKDL/

It has a 5.0 rating with 689 reviews. That makes me a little suspicious. It is likely that the manufacturer hired a couple of guys to create dozens of Amazon accounts and post phony reviews?

Does anyone have any comments of this product or any recommendations for a better one?

Thanks

Those reviews are definitely suspicious. A lot of them were left on the same day, and those are not from actual buyers from Amazon. I would avoid that product for sure.

Since you are going to use it at home, you can consider a headset that gives better sound quality than earbuds that are geared for activities. Such as this:

https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetoo...9237543&sr=8-30&keywords=bluetooth+headphones

I do not havê a firsthand experience with it, though.

Thanks for your comments. I am trying to avoid headsets because I want to use it while riding the stationary bike. I get too sweaty with a headset. I am not that concerned about sound "quality". I won't be listening to symphony music -- just the TV (news, movies, etc.). Plus I'm no audiophile anyway.

I'm mainly interested in compatibility with multiple devices in addition to the TV.

The reviews looked pretty good generally and the ones that complained got a response from TaoTronics offering to resolve it. They are on order. I hope they work. Thanks.

I use the Samsung Level U Pro wireless earbuds for every device I own. They were $35 and last about 12 hours between charges.

I highly recommend them as they are super comfortable and sound great.

Thanks for the recommendation. If you are talking about these,

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017KE9KOU

they are now $51, at least on Amazon, and they only have a 3.7 rating on 1645 reviews.

However, my new TV is also a Samsung, so maybe I should have waited. Anyway, I already ordered the TaoTronics, so I'll see how they do.

Thanks, CM

How about 100% suspicious.

Fakespot gave this a big F.

It says 100% of the reviews are suspicious. Now that's a first.

The first review was Jan 16th. In the past 36 days, there have been 692 reviews.

Ha ha ha ha.

Not a chance.
