I have installed a Bluetooth DUN connection in my deskop with my Nokia N73(With EDGE technology) cellphone using a Mini USB Bluetooth Dongle.
Now i was configuring the Modem settings of the Blutooth DUN Connection in Control Panel Network Connections. In there, there are five chek boxes : 1) Enable Hardware Flow control. 2) Enable modem error control. 3) Enable Modem compression. 4) Show Terminal Window. 5) Enable modem speaker.
Presently i've checked all the options except "show terminal window". Are these the best possible settings to get maximum internet surfing performance.

If I had to guess I would say that you have to have some sort of flow control, error control is along the same lines. Compressions should help send more data out in a smaller packet, or fit more data into a packet than one without compression. 4&5 wouldn't have any effect on performance.

you may be able to get slightly better speeds by disabling flow control and error control but the reliability of the connection could suffer. If you wanted faster browsing shut off 'load images' in your browser, the pics eat up tons of bandwidth. Also if you're using Firefox there are ad-dons that can stop advertisement from showing up, which would be less content for the connection to load. honestly I think either of these would help more than the setting on the connection.
