I purchased a logitech bluetooth headset (intended for a mobile phone) but I'd like to use it for my computer. I'm pretty sure I can do this by adding bluetooth functionality to my computer through a dongle. I'd rather spring for something that is a little bit on the higher end, just incase I end up buying more bluetooth gadgets I want to make sure I have the functionality.

If you do a search on your favorite deal site, you can find some off brand products that cost next to nothing, where as the linksys product costs $40 or more.

USB 1.1 is sufficient as its data rate is up to 12 Mbps whereas Bluetoof 2.0 + EDR is only up to 3 Mbps.

As with most PC gear, I suggest researching the supplier of the core parts as much as the brand as prices can vary widely for essentially the same thing depending upon said brand, packaging and reseller. Certainly if the chip cannot be confirmed then don't assume a higher price equates to a better product.

One fing to consider for the greatest flexibility is the longer range of Class I, perhaps with an external antennae though I suspect Class II is adequate for typical use.
