Ok i got one of those A2DP stereo BT headsets and I have a x-fi card. i was wondering if the BT audio is what the sound blaster card outputs because it has no effect when i change X-fi modes and from 5.1 to headphones. does BT use it's own sound processing? i didn't think so because in games, i'm still allowed to use X-fi settings and still hear sound through the headsets.

Why are you using Bluetooth for PC gaming? The sound quality is overall poor comparied to regualr headphones.

Yes BT uses its own sound prossesing and has nothing to do with your sound card. So any chages you make to the SB audio will have no effect on what you hear therw a BT device. When you enable X-Fi settings in the game its outputting those settings threw the sound card and not threw BT. That headsaet is fine for listening to MP3s on your phone but isn't a good option for your PC.

well i wanted wireless headsets and wanted to give BT ones a try. it doesn't sound too bad actually, and the range isn't that bad but it sucks that my X-fi card can't be outputted to BT A2DP.

thanks for the insight though.

If you want the sound card to be the main driver for it then you need to get a wireless headset where its transmiter connects to the card's outputs.

BT doesn't sound bad at all. I use BT using my Motorola HS500 and my brother uses his Plantronics Voyager, and none of the game clans we play with can tell any quality problems on TS or Vent.

Its not about quality of microphone. Its about quality of stereo sound from the headphones. The speakers on the headset may be nice ones but the audio reproduction that is don't by BT is better suited for voice not sound effects and music.

I've considered that headset for use with my cell phone. I've got an LG-VX8300, it has good stero speakers built in, good for there size anyway. Problem is the phone doesn't have a regular headphone jack and the hands free jack will not output stero sound on headphones with the smaller jack size.
