Ok, I just bought a notebook, got a pretty good deal on it, but it did not come with bluetooth capapbility built in (only draw back). Now im just startin toget into the whole bluetooth/wireless thing since this is my frst notebook, and am interested in making my notebook bluetooth capable. For starters, I want to get a bluetooth mouse, and bluetooth headphones, for when i go on trips etc, and possibly other things later on ( making my printer on my desktop bluetooht capable so i can print from laptop quickly etc)

Now do I have to do bluetooth 2.0? or is 1.1 fine? whats the difference in the the different references are thy interhcnage able down but not up?

I want to use a pcmcia card AND NOT A USB DONGLE. I dont want to have to plu it in everytime i use the computer and have it hanging off to get snapped or pushed off. so, any ideas? I found a few, a zoom card with v1.1 comliance? or should i wait for a 2.0 card? i know dongle would be easier to make 2.0 compatible, but i really want to not have the dongle, and wnat to use the empt expansion slots i have, more compact, more mobile.... anyways, comments questions concerns????

I added bluetooth to my Dell Inspiron 8500 a month back. I got the internal bluetooth card + connector from dell and plugged it in, so my PCMCIA slot remains free :)
