Blueshift Backup copy problem....

OK I know copying is not condoned here - but I made an evaluation "backup" ...*cough*... to see what it was like after hearing that it was not really a very worthy game.

Well anyway the CD was made into a "backup" easily enough and installs on the computer no problem, however each time I try to start the game, absolutely nothing happens - it accesses the disk then nada 🙁 Just stays put on the start screen or the desktop if using the shortcut.

Any ideas? - no need for lectures about piracy etc 😉
 
You spend half the post winking about how you know that piracy isn't condoned here and then ask for help in piracy and you don't want a lecture? Jeez...

I could tell you about how to do away with the need for the disc, but that would only reward your piracy. I'm not gonna tell you to go BUY it either, cuz it is SUCK! Short and boring.

Exactly why I wanted to "evaluate" the game actually!

Funny how people get funny about using software versus having a copy of music to listen to - no difference really.

What would the situation be if I just borrow the original CD from my friend - play the game and give it back then? It's no different than having a copy and then never using it again if it is so bad.

Anyway, thanks for the tip Jedibus, will check it out at home - however, most of the feedback about this game does appear to be fairly negative. 🙁
 
If your cd burner supports "raw" mode, then get the latest version of "CloneCD" do a search for it. This is what worked for me. Good Luck

Well thats that game finished - got it loaded up Saturday night after updating my BIOS (not connected to this thread) and had a couple of levels under my belt.

Went back to playing on Sunday morning and finished the game - I can't believe it was so short 🙁

The Soldiers are pretty decent in this game - but other than that no a lot to recommend.

I guess that "backup" will be gathering dust now 😉
