I watch a lot of Cowboy Bebop, and I really like that bebop music they play. Does anyone know of some good bands that pley that type of music.

i think they have a cowboy bebop soundtrack somewhere. but that show really does rule.

yoko kanno is the wrighter (<-- why does that word look wierd?).
I also believe "the seatbelts" are the performers

you might check out Miles Davis as he was something of a bebop pioneer (AFAIK). (also known for hard bop, cooljazz, fusion, funk, etc)

other good names (may or may not be to your liking):

Wynton Marsalis (more classical though)
Branford Marsalis (more abstract though)
Dizzy Gillespe -- pioneer
Thelonious Monk -- pioneer
George Clinton
Sonny Collins
John Coltrane <-- aside from Mile Davis's "Kind of Blue" album, this guy is the best "bed music". (IMHO)
