Blue Yeti Microphone Foam or Pop Filter ?

Hi, I am getting Blue Yeti for commentating on my videos which I will capture using Elgato HD60 . Now, should I get the Foam or Pop Filter ? I have some background noise , mostly some noise coming from outside of my house which I can hear from my room . So, which one will be better for removing background noise , foam or pop filter ?

N.B : Sorry if this is the wrong category.

A foam filter is really for wind, it won't do anything for background noise. A pop filter is just that.

I have a rode nt2-a and just use a pop filter. Even the least sensitive setting still picks up background.

For background noise, you need an isolation box. There are several ideas for cheap, diy ones you can search for.

1. make sure you're using the cardioid setting on the mic.

2. TBH, condensers are the worst when it comes to background and external noise. Something like a vocal dynamic mic (think Shure SM58) would be better for this, even though voices aren't going to sound quite as crystal clear as they would on a condenser (but still quite good). Might be worth a look if you haven't made your purchase yet.
