BLUE WHALE IN CAPTIVITY??

Um, there aren't. The killer whales the have at sea world are relatively small as whales go. I don't think there is a place that can house one.

That would be impossible..

Not only would they need a HUGE DEEP tank..
They'd have to feed it tons of plankton everyday

This isn't Star Trek IV 😉

I'm pretty sure in ST4, they were after Humpback Whales.

which are smaller and probably need less food/space

Indubitably.

every now and then mother nature throws you a curve ball in predicting things liek this, so I included that "probably"

there was one Sea World that saved a baby blue whale (I forgot which one) and they let it go after it grew a little older and healthier

To the poop deck, the blue whales be poopin! Yar! Yar!

Seriously though that would be one hell of a fish tank.

I can't find a link but I remeber it was San Diego Sea World and we sat in a theatre and they had a little documentary (story) about the blue whale they had saved and in the after the movie they showed us the harness they used to release the blue whale and it was pretty big.

Update: Sorry I guess it wasn't a blue whale.
