Blue Velvet always creeps me out

I sit down and watch Blue Velvet about once every two years. It has a bunch of great lines and Dennis Hopper rules as Frank Booth.

But when I watch it I remember why I only watch it once every couple of years. It is messed up and it never fails to creep me out.

Probably my all-time favorite movie, and I've seen nearly all of Lynch's flicks. Very freaky - moreso than just about any horror movie I can think of.

By the way, any speculation on the whole Heineken thing? Was there supposed to be symbolism coded into that too, or was it just a strangely recurring theme (or word)?

I never thought about that until tonight.. During the "King of Beers" scene..
