Blue Screens

I keep getting blue screens, especially when I'm playing games. First got blue screens without error messages when I first started playing Splinter Cell. Before this, I used to get "General Protection Errors", even with UT2003. I've gone through sigverif.exe , nothing wrong. Gone through Memcheck. I've downloaded the newest drivers for all my hardware. But I still get blue screens, almost each time.

Here are my specs:

Windows XP Pro SP2beta/SP1
Athlon XP2600++
512 MB PC2700 DDR RAM
MSI K7N2G mainboard
Athlon 9500 128MB
80GB Maxtor HDD
and the rest

Does anyone out there know any sort of software that detects errors (either software or hardware)whenever they occur? That'll help me troubleshoot my computer much more easily.

Thanks.

you could get a POST card. those will detect any type of hardware errors, just as long as it's compatible with your motherboard. just search on ebay for POST card. what's your temperatures in your system like just out of curiousity?

I do own one of those POST cards, came along with my mainboard, it's one of those cards with some LEDs behind. Processor temperature's around 55C.
