Blue screen

Hey guys have a question every once in a while i loose sound and i get a blue screenthat says (BAD_POOL_CALLER) is this a easy fix. I am using windows xp SP2.

Not enough information to tell for sure, but make sure you upgrade your drivers to the latest drivers from the manufacturer. We need more information such as:

1. Sound card make
2. Motherboard make/chipset

May be a problem with hardware or drivers. Any more information given by the blue screen? You can run memtest to quickly rule that out.

As PieIsAwesome said, run memtest. If the blue screens started right after you added the RAM, memtest is probably going to show that you have bad RAM.

it just started, it seems like evertime i play bejeweled on facebook i loose sound and then i get the blue screen, that says bad_pool_caller or bad_pool_header. i'll try to send more info on the blue screen.
