Blue screen/random freeze problem

Ive been having some problems recently with blue screen STOP errors and a freeze or two just during general usage, surfing the net. I think its a driver problem, but the only driver changes ive made recently are the video card, and it wasent within the last week which is when these blue screens and freezes have started to show up.

So far what ive done is:

1. Repair install of windows

2. Installed catalyst 6.6 driver to replace 6.8's used driver cleaner restarted then installed 6.6's

3. Set all hardware to stock

4. Did the windows scan thing of drive C:, said it found file system errors and fixed them.

Event viewer tells me: Driver detected an internal error in its data structures for .

Ok, it bluescreened again, this time it was a "BAD POOL CALLER" error and there was a distroted pink square down at the botttom where it says **STOP**

What the hecks wrong with this thing?? Im considering removing drive D: with everything valuable on it and using my older opty rig with 9800 PRO.

Google says sptd is part of Daemon Tools. Seems to be a lot of hits out there from people who have had trouble with it.

Yea, i checked it out too, uninstalled it yesterday, had a freeze and two blue screens today. I dont know if these are actually connected to the blue screening as according to event viewer an SPTD error occurred 20 mins ago. But there was no freeze or blue screen. If i get another crash, im gonna try different ram configs.

Ok, thats it, piece of garbage did it again, another random "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL" yada yada, im gonna try it with just the 2x1gb sticks, and remove the 2x512 sticks. My FPS in starcraft shouldnt be affected much 😛

Wow this is sad.... ive replied to my own post more than anyone else lol. Well for the record i re-installed the drivers for my audigy 2 ZS and havent had a freeze/bluescreen in a day and a half.

The morale of the story is, if you get random bluescreens and dont have a clue what it is... waste your time and try absolutely everything 😛 Eventually somthing will work!
