Check to mare sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation ask you software or hardware manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, resart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options and then select safe mode.

This has pretty much happened from day one with this computer but it was so intermittent I lived with it. Now the computer is in heavy use and it happens at inopportune times...losing data or maybe during e-mailing etc.
A web search comes up with stuff from use ntfs (this one is FAT32), bad font, bad memory module to move the PCI cards around....

Man, anyone else ever seen this?

Microsoft says it's a bad memory module. That's easy enough to test. I'll replace it and check back...
If anyone has any other ideas feel free to post..
