blue screen of death

i just built a new workstation at work and it is giving me errors. here is my set up

windows xp sp2
pentium d 830 with stock heatsink and fan using artic silver 5
gigabyte ga-8n-sli royal
2x512 ddr2 ocz gold edition
2x nividia 6600 gt in sli mode
3 sata wd drive in raid 0
ocz 400 watt power supply
thermaltake armor case
other additional is 2 ide drive, dvd burner, and 3 fans

after installing all application and stuff i try running 3dmark05 and i can only get into the first 5sec of it before my system restart. i also get errors and blue screen just doing regular work like using excel and browsing the internet. those progam will lock on me too and restart the progam over again. i then replace the themal paste on the northbridge and southbridge with artic silver 5 (both chipset felt hot). now the southbridge seems hotter than before (must be a good sign because its working?). anyways after all that it still gives me the same errors. i dont know what to do now.

umm... why would a workstation at "work" need 2 video cards in sli mode.

Have you run memtest to check the ram?

May not hurt to just toss out there that the power supply may be suspect. OCZ makes some good PSU's but that is a hell of a lof of hardware too.

it is a game/works station.

after running the memtest i found out that the dimm slott was bad so i switch it to the other one and now it pass the test. but i still could not run 3dmark005 it goes more into it but it locks up when the dude take out his mcahine gun and kills everyone.

it is not overclock.

i will need to try a new power supply. how much do u recommed?

You have 6 drives and 2 video cards (I think that is asking a lot of a 400 watt, even though it may be a quality brand), I would say 500 at a bare minimum and to be on the safe side close to 600.

P.S. - I don't know how you'all management to get that much hardware stuffed into a box.

alright i will need to look into a 600 watt psu.

have u seen all the space the thermaltake armor can hold? i can fit alot more drives in there just need to buy the brackets for it.

thanks for all the help. still no blue screen so its running better than it did before.

alright i tried a new psu on (pc power and cooling 510) and still cant run 3dmark or any other games. im stuck now. all i can think of is a new board. any other suggestion.
