Blue screen of death at boot up. Would not boot into recovery console neither. Goes blue with some error message. I search for error message, and it looks like a 'bad cable' or something about 'udma' in the bios. Well this pc is a hp running xphome and has never been opened and I set the bios to factory defaults to be safe.
So tried to use the HP recovery partition to restore, and it fails.
He's is kicker, for sh1ts&giggles i tried to run my xp pro disk so i could do a repair or console... BLUE Screens again. So i tried it with a 2000pro cd. It fixed my problem, and now boots BUT it acts really funny, I cants open my computer and the start bar will just disappear. It also Destroyed my Account. But firefox works?!? Do you think the harddrive is dieing (maxtor) or did i screw up the os?
