I recently built a new computer (my 2nd). Im far from a pro and mostly just wing it. The computer works well but when booting a program it occasionally gives me the following blue screen error (see pic @ http://www.nm-inn.com/images/ebay/damnit.jpg )

This has been happening for the last week...since the computer was built. I just found out what the error was by making windows not automatically reboot the computer...so it just stays on the screen. Here are my specs.

(win xp pro)

Does anyone have a clue what the error means? I've tried searching but my results are greek to me. If anyone could explain what I should do (and remember I'm a novice) I would be forever in debt to you. Thank you!

The most likely cause is corrupted files/drivers. Run a chkdsk - open explorer click on the C drive then tab to tools, click on check - the computer wil reboot and run chkdsk before loading windows. You make lose some files so take the usual precautions before doing so.
