Ive Just installed a new comp.
WINXP : home with Service pack 2.
My config
mb- MSI - RS480M2-IL,
AMD 64 bit 3000+,
1*512mb Kingston DDR,
1*Seagate 80gb SATA,
1*Seagate 80gb ATA.
I have installed Mcafee VirusScan 8.0.41 and ive enabled Active shield.

1. Everytime i start a computer a pop - up (Active shield popup) comes and it says "A Trojan Has Been Detected and Cleaned!" The file C:\Documents and Settings\myName\msdirectx.sys was infected by the FURookit trojan and has been deleted to complete the Clean process.

I ve fully cleaned my comp and it has no virus now but everytime i start a popup comes saying Mcafee has found a virus in your computer, and then Active shield starts with the popup ( point 1). How do disable this alert in Active shield.

2. Few times I got a blue screen error saying
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Begining dump of physical memory. Physical memory dump completed.
STOP : 0*00000050.

What is the meaning of this error please explain i detail.

Sounds like you do have this trojan, and it has altered Windows startup actions to keep re-installing itself during the boot process.

The bluescreen could be from the trojan damaging a system file during the infection process, causing it to try to access a non-existent memory address.

Cleaning something like this is outside my expertise, you might look in the spyware/trojan/AV thread or do some Googling

Page fault is when a program tries to access memory that is not currently part of physical memory / RAM.

This is OK if the memory the program wants is part of your windows swap file, the page fault just causes the memory to be loaded back from disk into RAM. It happens all the time when you are running several big programs and switching between them.

This is not OK if the memory doesn't exist anywhere -- not in RAM and not in the swap file.

If a user program does this, you get one of those "Bf2.exe has accessed an area of memory that could not be 'read'" crash boxes.

If a Windows system file does this, the file has probably been corrupted -or- one of your sticks of RAM is bad.

Letting Windows manage virtual memory is good.

Your problem could be:

- undetected trojan / virus
- trojan / virus that is gone now but has damaged a Windows file

- bad video card drivers (mix of nvidia and ATI, or bad beta drivers)
- programming bug in McAfee or your game

- overclocking CPU, video, or RAM (custom timings)
- bad stick of RAM
- power supply problem
- motherboard problem

That's a long list :(

For testing RAM, most people use "memstest" I can probably find a link for you tomorrow if you can't find it yourself

Thanks agn dude...

- undetected trojan / virus - Cleaned it recently. - not possible
- trojan / virus that is gone now but has damaged a Windows file - possible

- bad video card drivers (mix of nvidia and ATI, or bad beta drivers) - not possible cause not no nvidia gpu only ati chipset and ati apu.
- programming bug in McAfee or your game - could be
- overclocking CPU, video, or RAM (custom timings) - all default no overclocking
- bad stick of RAM - have to chk
- power supply problem - no
- motherboard problem - nothing till now (how do i chk a mb problem....any tools to detect it)

I have the memtest with me..i will run the test and post the status within sometime....
