Blue screen after Win 7 upgrade

Upgraded system in my signature to 7 Ultimate and now getting blue screens. Get messages that video has stopped working. I have updated the video driver but its dated 2013.
I will update the GPU if that's the problem, looking for recommendations, been out of the loop for a while. Would like to stay under $100. Doesn't have to be AMD, will go with Nvidia also.
