I have an Asus P4P800 E Deluxe mobo, Intel Pent 4 3.4Ghz Northwood, Crucial Ballistrix 2x512MB PC4000 ram, 2x 200GB Seagate Barracuda SATA HDD RAID0, Antec True Blue Power 480W, Gainward FX5000 graphics, Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS, Windows XP Pro SP1a.
I was reinstalling Windows XP Pro using the F6 method. First creating Raid0 array then install Windows XP Pro and Intel Application Accelerator RAID driver using F6 method. I finished of the install by firstly installing the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility and the full IAAR under Windows. The RAID0 array was working perfectly.
I then added some drivers, graphics, Logitech mouse and keyboard, Viewsonic driver for monitor. I then enabled the Promise Controller in the BIOS, connected a Maxtor HDD and went to install Promise 378ATA drivers. When it was installing I got a blue screen with the following message:
"DRIVER_CORRUPTED_MMPOOL"
Technical Information:
Stop: 0x000000D0 (0x58444E4D, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x80537D61)
I then uninstalled the drivers I had installed after the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility and the full IAAR software, ie graphics etc and attached a PATA HDD to the Primary IDE Channel as Master. I still got the blue screen and a similar error message.
I thought it might be the ram so I ran a RAM test, using Windows Memory Diagnostic, it showed no problems with the ram.
I installed a new Viewsonic TFT LCD recently. When I connected it it seemed to run ok. I then was checking the graphics card as it has never really "fitted correctly" from the beginning. I was able to get the little "white" catch pushed home. From then on the blue screens have appeared. I have had problems with this Gainward graphics card from the beginning. Every so often the monitor would go "black" and then come on again, sometimes when playing audio cds, to try and rectify this I would reinstall the graphics drivers in "safe mode"
What would be the possible cause of my problem and how would I remedy it?
