Hi, i've got a gainward geforce4 ti4200 with AGP 8X with 128DDR

i also have a blue orb from a geforce2 that i had layin around.

i was wondering which would be better for cooling the gf4?

btw, the surface of the stock hsf is much bigger, but it seems like its made of a material other than aluminum and definitely not copper and the surface is not very smooth at all compared to the blue orb

i wouldnt waste ur time with the heatsink. unless of course you are desperate for a couple extra mhz which the new heatsink may or may not provide.
the heatsink is more than likely just painted aluminum.

The Blue Orb isn't that great. It'll probably be louder than the stock HS and won't cool much better, if at all. If you really want to OC the crap out of it, get some thermal epoxy and slap a cheap aluminum CPU heatsink on there.
