Blue Orb on MSI K7T Turbo

I think my northbridge on my motherboard is overheating causing my system to not want to boot up sometimes. MSI only puts a passive heatsink on their board, and I was wondering 1. Will the Blue Orb fit in the holes or will I have to mod it? 2. Will this help at all? Or would I be better off sticking the thing on my Elsa Gladiac Ultra? Thanks.

If it doesn't fit, you can always use the thermal tape that comes with the package.
