Blue orb fit a GF4?

Does this cooler fit a GF4? I'm lookin for a replacement that is cheap and quiet since my existing fan is making noises.

The orb is pretty crappy when it comes to cooling something like a gfx card, esp anything higher than a 4200. I'd suggest you either look for a special GF4TI replacement fan or else for a passive solution from someone like Zalman specificly designed.

The Blue Orb has a history of crapping out (I got my Ti4600 with a noisy one). I'd stay away from it. The Thermaltake GF4 copper kit is an ok solution but it's loud. Check out the Vantec Iceberq\Iceberg or whatever they call it. Haven't used it but haven't heard anything bad about it.

I'd also go with a copper Vantec Iceberq 4. If you do, be sure to measure the distance between the hold down pins. The Pro and non-Pro have different spacing but are basically the same. Cost ~ $15-$19.

I have the Icebery 4 Pro model on order for my Gainward Ti4200 GS which is spaced at 80MM between the pins. As I recall, the non-Pro model is 55MM between the hold down pins.

Ok i picked up the thermaltake solution for only $12.99. At full speed the fan is ridiculously loud, but I 7 volted it and its pretty quiet, but not quiet enough. I'm thinkin about removing the fan and keeping the copper heatsink on, and then having a fan bracket blow on it or a slot cooler blow on it. Will that be enough cooling?

Blue Orb is also ridiculously loud. I wouldn't recommend it either.

Glad you didn't get the Blue Orb. I had one on my GeForce2 Pro and after a few months, the fan went bad and got crazy loud. Took it off and haven't touched it since.
