So in one of my last posts Mosh pointed out my moms beer looks similar to Blue Moon. Mosh was correct in identifying another Weisse beer. What Mosh doesn't know is that what she drinks is complete acid.

Why?

Because first off, Blue Moon is brewed in Toronto out of all places. It's a beer brewed in Canada and not sold in Canada, go figure. Anything made in Toronto is complete utter trash beer wise, especially a belgian style weisse beer. The beer tastes like water and you can feel an artificial flavour of fruit in the beer.

I saw this beer on the menu at a bar in Buffalo...my dad who is a beer drinking master was absolutely disgusted.

Here is a list of Weisse beers you should drink that are actually good:

Erdinger
Hacker Pschorr
Paulaner
Hoegaarden
Grolsch Weisse

There are others but those are for phase 2 advanced minions only.

It came with an orange, at least the lady had sense enough to bring it, but that did not help. I usually drink my Weisse beers with orange or lemon, unless it's a dunkel then I just drink it clean.

If you have to put something in your beer to make it taste good then it isn't good beer.

Go drink a Zima with the girls if you want to put something in your drink.

I like Blue Moon. I'm drinking a Blue Harvest pumpkin ale right now.

I also like Bud Light, Yuengling, and most malt liquor that I've tried.

This is in addition to a pretty keen taste for finer wines and high end beers.

I'm just not a "beer snob", the new breed of asshole that doesn't realize cheap anything has its place.

Right now in the beer fridge I have:

6 or more of

Smithwick's
Guinness
Choc ( local brew )
Yuengling Lager
Spaten Oktoberfest

and a few bottles of Shinerbock, Sam Adams and a couple locally brewed beers.

New breed of snob? You realize you are talking to people from Europe right? lol I don't think that term applies to us, maybe to people in the US, but even then, the US has some amazing microbreweries with really good beer.

Cheap beer that's good? Hmm, 24 of Corona is pretty cheap...

Good, rest I can't say I know.

Rest assured that the other beers he lists are equally delicious, if not more so (can't comment on his local brews).
