Blue LED's

I was wondering if there was a standardized type of LED that computer cases use (for power and HD).

I currently have an Antec 282 and wanted to replace the LED's with Blue ones... Anyone know which ones will work, and what i should look for?

ALSO, the same goes for keyboards too, are they standardized?

My Antec 1030b uses 3mm led's. I hear you can fit 5mm with some minor drilling. I picked up blue ones at radioshack.com for ~$4 each. They look real purty Install takes 3 minutes, pull old ones out, pop new ones in. Let me know if you have trouble finding them and I'll get the exact link for you. No idea on keyboard led's.

I don't know about keyboard LED's but for blue LED's to use in your case, go to Radio Shack. Ask for part #: 276-311.

Quick question: To get your old leds out, did you just sorta tug on the cables going to them to pull em out?

Actually, i got the LED plastic thingys out of the case, how do i actually get the LEDS out of the plastic thingy?

I had to drill the LEDs out of my case. Even then I had to struggle.

Silly fools had glued them in.

I don't know about your particular case, but on my Antec 1030b and Enlight 7237, the led's could be pulled out of the wire sockets with tweezers or thin pliers (be careful not to break the led). They didn't require too much force. Good luck!

Ok, got both LED's out now... Tugged like HELL to get em though... Now i got a problem, my radio shack only carries 5mm Blue's... Anyone know where i can get 3mm Blue LEDS?

radioshack.com. the b&m stores DO NOT carry the 3mm led's. you can only buy these online as i stated in my original post.

I used Radio Shack's 5mm blue LED's to replace the stock ones on my Enlight 7237. The 5mm's are bigger but with a little "persuasion" they fit okay.
