Blue leds kick ass

I got one of those blue LEDs from radio shack too. those things are bright as hell!!

To install it in a 7237... you first gotta take off your front bezel and remove the whole LED unit from the front of your case. Once it's detatched, use some pliers and simply pull lightly to slide the old LED out. Then just stick the new blue ones in. However, the new blue ones are bigger, so its gonna be a little harder to put it in (don't worry, it fits on mine). Once you push it in, turn it on and you've got a new BLUE LED light.

oh btw, you shouldn't have to cut or break anything off. everything should slide in and out pretty easily. the only thing you might have to cut is hte leads from the BLUE LED since they're extra long. if the lights aren't working at first, make sure the leads aren't touching each other and try reversing the leads the position of the leads on the bulb 🙂 good luck!

SuperKen!: It's very easy to replace a 7237's LED's with blue ones. Pull the front bezel off your case and you'll see that the stock LED's are readily accessible. Gently pull one loose -- it slips right out.

Radio Shack's Blue LED's have longer contact wires than the stock LED's. I just place a stock LED next to an RS LED and snip the longer contact wires to match the length of the stock ones. Then slip your new LED into the socket and power up your system. If the LED doesn't light there's no harm done. Shut off your system, pull out the LED and flip it over so the contact wires are reversed in the socket. Put it in, power up and voila', you're good to go.

Oh thanks a lot guys, Im gonna go pick some up today and do it!
🙂

Anbody know if the Addtronics LED's are like that too?
Or if in general LED' are all put in basically the same, cuase if it is. Im gonna do it to my Addtronics 6896 too
Thanks

Cool idea - you've inspired me to try it on my all-blue case (I just finished it not too long ago and posted some pics here😉).

i put a blue one in an extra natural keyboard of mine, it keeps you from dozing off at night. I also plan to put one in my intellimouse explorer and monitor. These leds are definately the shiz
