The Playstation 2 has a blue LED. I don't know what it is about them, but they're damn cool! ;)

johneetrash, I'm using an Addtronics here...

I read your other post... if you are that serious about gettin a new LED... why don't you take out the original one and take it to Radio Shack and ask one of the guys there. I'm sure they'll know what to do to help you.

paruhd0x, i searched the site, but can't dig up the LEDs. All I get are those neon light tubes... do you have a direct link?

I just went over to radioshack and looked at their LED's but the only blue one I saw was huge (12v). My enlight 7237 has little green and orange led's. Do you know the product # of the ones you bought there?

LohCash: I replaced the green and yellow LED's in my 7237 with blue ones from Radio Shack. You want their part number 276-311.

Blue LED does kick ass, thanks for the Radio Shack part number, I ran down there and picked one up.

On another note SX830 kicks ass, not only is it an awesome case but it has a little holder for the LED's. Popped out the old one, and slipped in a new one. No soldering needed!

I love the ones in my case, but is it just me or does the brightness of them keep you awake at night?

For all you Home Theater fans out there... I have an IScan Line Doubler... it has a bright blue LED to indicate that has detected and is processing film-mode video (e.g. most DVDs that don't suck). It's pretty cool.. cause when you have guests over for a movie, at the beginning, the light comes on and they are like "WOW! what is that light for?" hehehehe... Other than improving picture quality, just the wow factor was almost worth the $500 (not really... just making myself feel better about spending that much cash on a little black magical box).

Thanks for the idea about the blue LED's in the case... I'm gonna do that real soon. SOunds cool.

I have an Antec SX830 case and replaced the LED's with Blue and red ones. I got them from radio shack and they are hella cool :) The red one was a high out-put and dam its bright! Really easy mod too.

Yes, how would you put these blue LED's on a 7237?

Just pull out the old one and put in the new one?
Or just somehow mount them in the case, and just attach the wires to it?

Thanks.

paruhd0x, I have an Addtronics case too (6896) and just wanted to know how you put the blue LED's in.

Did you just take out the factor ones, and slip in the new ones, or did you have to actually get the LED holders and ETC.

If you could give me a brief description of what you did and the parts you used I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
