Blue Laser Pointers

i see red around everywhere, ive seen green and just today i saw yellow, but where can i get a blue one? anyone have an idea? i need one bad, well really just for fun

You can buy blue lasers, but they're still pretty expensive, and as far as I know there aren't any small enough yet to fit inside a standard pointer.

I made a portable module back in 2002 and it wound up costing over $11k to get working so...

Diode Pumped Solid State (DPSS) lasers are available from several manufactures at a wavelength of 473 nM.

Changchun New Industries is coming out with a portable blue unit that is robust and similar in size to a 2C cell "mag" flashlight. Power is low at <5 mW. Single unit cost is ~ $1,000.00 USD and it takes about 3-4 weeks to receive once ordered.
