You know that science is actually on my side, right? But hey, you know... keep thinking you know something. ;)

Are you sure about that?

I haven't been able to find anything but anecdotal evidence that may or may not have been the mail man. Or the milk man. Or maybe the UPS guy?

Lol, this thread hits close to home for me. My wife and I both have dark brown hair and eyes. Our two year old however is blonde and very blue eyed. These traits came from our mothers. We do hear the mail/milk man jokes quite often :)

This is actually typical, blue eyes require double recessive genes.

Alright. I am related to some random anonymous dude in Germany. (Or Batman)

Mother did artificial insemination because my father had a vasectomy when they met. So, there was no cheating. (Which would be out of character for her)

Found out today. Thought you guys would like to revel in your glory.

why did they not bother telling you sooner? Seems important for lots of genetic disorders and family history type stuff for doctors and such.

I figure you are still who you were yesterday so I don't know why it matters.

Yeah, but that's not absolutely true. That's why I want the odds.

There's plenty of cases where people have had blue eyed parents and a non-blue eyed child. I was hoping for numbers.

Do they match the mailman's?
