Lol, this thread hits close to home for me. My wife and I both have dark brown hair and eyes. Our two year old however is blonde and very blue eyed. These traits came from our mothers. We do hear the mail/milk man jokes quite often

This is actually typical, blue eyes require double recessive genes.

There's plenty of cases where people have had blue eyed parents and a non-blue eyed child. I was hoping for numbers.
