Why is power dvd a pos? Its the only player that can play bluray on my laptop. Has the best codec for hardware acceleration that i know of. Kmplayer I believe uses some version of power dvds decoder but its still not as good for blu ray play back.

Though my knowledge is limited in this matter.

Have had both WinDVD and PowerDVD. WinDVD insisted on being installed on C drive, whereas PWD would go where ever I wanted it to. That was 5 years ago, and have been with PWD ever since. Zero problems.

And with the PWD codecs installed, WMP 12 does a good job in Win 7.

i just media player classic home cinema tbh. of course, you need to remove the encryption first

hah, so will any other video player that's playing a downloaded/ripped video file.

If you have the actual disc, MPC will not play it.

But for the OP, you basically have three choices, PDVD, WinDVD, and Total Media Theatre.

I just tried with WMP12 and the disc didn't play (with a legit AnyDVD install), so not sure how corky got his to play.
